Miamisburg's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They skirted past the Monroe Hornets 3-2. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Vikings as it put an end to their 11-match losing streak.

Miamisburg took Monroe into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. The final score came out to 15-25, 25-14, 26-24, 20-25, 15-12.

Aleeyah Hamilton paced Miamisburg's offense, picking up 15 kills. Hamilton got some help from Reagan Toole and her 34 assists. Finally, Zoey Parker kept Miamisburg's defense grounded, leading the team with seven blocks.

Despite the loss, Monroe still got an impressive performance from Lily Mendez-Regules, who had five aces and four digs.

Miamisburg's win bumped their record up to 2-16. As for Monroe, they dropped their record down to 1-18 with the loss, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Miamisburg will welcome Northmont at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Monroe, they will take on Preble Shawnee at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
