Soccer Game Preview: Mark Keppel vs. San Gabriel

The Mark Keppel Aztecs will take on the San Gabriel Matadors at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Mark Keppel is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games.

Mark Keppel's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Schurr with a sharp 3-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Aztecs, who have now won seven matches by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Schurr with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from MINA GUTIERREZ, ALLISON MELGOZA, and KAYLA MURAMATSU.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, San Gabriel was not quite Bell Gardens' equal in the second half on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Lancers by a score of 2-1. The Matadors haven't had much luck with the Lancers recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Mark Keppel's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 26 goals over those five contests. As for San Gabriel, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-4-2.
