Baseball Game Preview: Valley Cavaliers vs. Richmond Bobcats

Valley is 1-8 against Richmond since May of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Cavaliers will look to defend their home field against the Bobcats at 2:15 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Valley will bounce into Friday's matchup after beating Temple Academy, who they had gone 1-6 against in their seven prior meetings. The Cavaliers put the hurt on the Bereans with a sharp 15-4 win on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Richmond strolled into their game on Wednesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against Carrabec. Those four runs were actually the fewest the Bobcats have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Kaulin O'Brien was excellent, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one run.

Valley's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Richmond, their win bumped their record up to 9-0.
