Football Recap: Chanin Harris' Big Game Can't Quite Lead James F. Byrnes over Dorman

After flying high against Wade Hampton last Friday, James F. Byrnes came back down to earth. The Rebels took a 33-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dorman Cavaliers on Friday. The matchup marked the Rebels' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

James F. Byrnes' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chanin Harris, who picked up 78 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Harris was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 68 yards.

Even if they lost, James F. Byrnes' defensive line still kept up the pressure with five sacks. Leading the way was Jackson Delaney with two.

James F. Byrnes' defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Dorman, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Looking ahead, James F. Byrnes will head out on the road to take on Riverside at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Dorman, they will host Boiling Springs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
