Baseball Game Preview: Calvary Day Cavaliers vs. Southeast Bulloch Yellow Jackets

Calvary Day has gone 6-1 against Southeast Bulloch recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Calvary Day Cavaliers will head out to challenge the Southeast Bulloch Yellow Jackets at 4:30 p.m. Calvary Day's pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so Southeast Bulloch's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Calvary Day's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Liberty County 12-0. The Cavaliers haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Sam Renshaw made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in February. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Noah Bauer was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one double. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in runs. Another player making a difference was Dalton Kelley, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Calvary Day was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Meanwhile, Southeast Bulloch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Calvary Day.

Southeast Bulloch's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Calvary Day, their win bumped their record up to 7-4.

Calvary Day beat Southeast Bulloch 7-2 when the teams last played on Monday. The rematch might be a little tougher for Calvary Day since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
