Basketball Recap: Lancaster Country Day Takes a Loss

Lancaster Country Day was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 54-43 to the Lancaster County Christian Lions. While losing is never fun, Lancaster Country Day can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 470th, while Lancaster County Christian is ranked 225th).

Alicia Fisher was her usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 23 points and nine boards for Lancaster County Christian. Fisher's afternoon made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Faith Urenovitch was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and 12 assists.

Lancaster Country Day's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Lancaster County Christian, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-5.

Lancaster Country Day has already played their next match (against Annville-Cleona), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Lancaster County Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 48-28 win against Ephrata Mennonite on the 28th.
