Baseball Recap: Saline Find Success

Saline won the last time they faced Mason and things went their way on Saturday too. The Hornets walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Bulldogs. That's two games straight that the Hornets have won by exactly four runs.

The win made it two in a row for Saline and bumps their season record up to 22-7. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for Mason, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 21-8.

Saline and Mason should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. The Hornets will take on Bedford at 4:00 p.m. on Monday with a big rank advantage (21 vs. 100). The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Saline 3.2, the Kicking Mules 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Mason (ranked 32nd) will meet East Lansing (ranked 231st) at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
