With a playoff win on the line, Schley County rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Mt. Zion Bulldogs with a sharp 9-2 win. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 15 matches by six runs or more this season.

The victory (which was Schley County's fifth in a row) raised their record to 19-11. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Mt. Zion, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-10.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Bulldogs beat Schley County by a score of 2-1 later that day.
