Volleyball Recap: Tompkins Beats Lake Creek for Their Fifth Straight Victory

Tompkins extended their winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Lainey Monroe. The Falcons walked away with a 3-1 win over the Lake Creek Lions on Thursday for which the team can thank Monroe, who had 18 digs and two aces. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 10.4 digs per game.

Tompkins walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-12, 24-26, 25-19.

Tompkins' win bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Lake Creek, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tompkins will take on Cypress Ranch at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lake Creek, they will be playing at home against Kingwood at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
