Volleyball Recap: Georgetown Beats Pearland for Their Third Straight Win

Georgetown waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Pearland Oilers by a score of 2-0.

Georgetown didn't let Pearland take a single set, but it sure wasn't easy: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 28-26.

Amry Anderson paced Georgetown's offense, picking up seven kills. Anderson got some help from Amelia Albright and her ten assists. Finally, Albright was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high four blocks.

Georgetown's victory bumped their record up to 16-8. As for Pearland, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 13-12 record.

Looking ahead, Georgetown will square off against Liberty Hill at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pearland, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Alvin at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
