Basketball Game Preview: Kearny Komets vs. Mission Bay Buccaneers

The Kearny Komets will take on the Mission Bay Buccaneers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 85-29, which was the final score in Kearny's tilt against Christian on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Komets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 885th, while the Patriots are ranked 214th).

Meanwhile, Mission Bay played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 43-23 to Patrick Henry.

Mission Bay's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Kearny, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-11.

Kearny didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Mission Bay in their previous meeting on January 10th, but they still walked away with a 50-45 victory. Does Kearny have another victory up their sleeve, or will Mission Bay turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
