Soccer Game Preview: Cary-Grove vs. Geneva

The Cary-Grove Trojans will take on the Geneva Vikings at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cary-Grove's last five contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Cary-Grove is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand Woodstock North a 1-0 shutout. Cary-Grove's winning goal came courtesy of Bryce Nordengren.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Geneva, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over St. Charles East on Tuesday. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Geneva were the better team in the second half.

Cary-Grove's victory ended a ten-match drought on the road and puts them at 3-18-1. As for Geneva, their win bumped their record up to 15-5-2.
