Scottsdale Preparatory Academy junior pitching prospect also stars on the hardwood and gridiron.

For being such a strong pitching prospect, Tyler Johnson knows how to handle the bat. The Scottsdale Preparatory Academy (Scottsdale, Ariz.) junior leads the country in RBI according to the MaxPreps leaderboards.

Johnson, a 6-foot-1, 175-pounder who also plays the infield, has racked up 57 RBI to go along with a .487 batting average (37 of 76), 40 runs, 13 doubles and three home runs.

He knocked in seven runs on April 18 during a 22-2 win over North Point Prep and has driven in at least four six different times. Though he's pitched twice this season for the Spartans (19-5), he's rated as a college pitching prospect by PerfectGame.org. Johnson also was the Spartans' top scorer (11.5 points per game) on the basketball team and was the team's starting quarterback in football, throwing for 1,629 yards and 25 touchdowns.

MaxPreps compiles leaderboards from statistics supplied by high school coaches from throughout the country.
