Soccer Game Preview: Mansfield Senior vs. Madison Comprehensive

Mansfield Senior hasn't had much luck against Madison Comprehensive recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Tygers are taking a road trip to square off against the Rams at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Mansfield Senior had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the three-goal drubbing they dealt Galion on Monday. The Tygers blew past the Tigers 4-1. Mansfield Senior haven't had any issues with Galion recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Mansfield Senior hit Galion with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Nick Shaffer (2), Aiden Henry, and Jameson DeBolt.

Meanwhile, Madison Comprehensive kept a clean sheet against Grandview Heights on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Bobcats 1-0. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Madison Comprehensive's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 55th, while Grandview Heights are ranked 226th).

Mansfield Senior's record now sits at 5-9-2. As for Madison Comprehensive, their record is now 14-2-1.

Mansfield Senior might still be hurting after the 8-0 defeat they got from Madison Comprehensive in their previous meeting back in September. Can the Tygers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
