Soccer Recap: Atkinson County Falls Short of Lake Oconee Academy in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Atkinson County can now relate to. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lake Oconee Academy Titans on Thursday. Atkinson County were not able to make up for their defeat to Lake Oconee Academy from their previous meeting back in April of 2022.

Atkinson County's goal came courtesy of Alex Vega, who's now up to 11 this season.

The loss snapped Atkinson County's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 17-5 record. As for Lake Oconee Academy, the victory was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-3.
