Softball Recap: South O'Brien Takes a Loss

South O'Brien made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Hinton, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Wolverines fell just short of the Blackhawks by a score of 6-4 on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Wolverines have suffered since June 5, 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for South O'Brien and nudges their season record down to 5-8. As for Hinton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-3.

Coming up, South O'Brien will welcome St. Mary's at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Hinton, they will square off against Trinity Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Blackhawks surely won't give up without a fight.
