Softball Recap: Hebron Christian Extends Home Winning Streak to Four

Hebron Christian barely beat Collins Hill the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Lions put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 14-4 win on Thursday. The Lions have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Ainsley Trenbeath was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (three). She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, Juls Huber and Gabby Raysor did most of the damage at the plate: Huber went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI, while Raysor got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs and one RBI. That's the most RBI Huber has posted since back in October of 2024. Lauren Kyranakis was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Hebron Christian's victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Collins Hill, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Looking ahead, Hebron Christian is taking a road trip to take on Seckinger at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Collins Hill, they will welcome North Gwinnett at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
