Cheshire kept a clean sheet against Pomperaug on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 victory over the Panthers. This was payback for Cheshire, who suffered a 4-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

The win got Cheshire back to even at 1-1-1. As for Pomperaug, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
