Softball Recap: Lanier Longhorns vs. Centennial Knights
Lanier's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They skirted past the Centennial Knights 7-5. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Longhorns also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.
Lanier got a big performance out of Isabella Burkhead, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Those three RBI gave Burkhead a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sophia Roche, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.
Lanier was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They are 4-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
