Basketball Game Preview: Palmdale Falcons vs. Antelope Valley Antelopes

Palmdale and Antelope Valley are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Palmdale Falcons will be playing at home against the Antelope Valley Antelopes at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Palmdale has struggled recently with ten losses in a row, while Antelope Valley will arrive with nine straight wins.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Palmdale challenged Knight on Thursday. Palmdale took a blow against Knight, falling 52-18.

Meanwhile, Antelope Valley hadn't done well against Eastside recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Antelope Valley walked away with a 62-55 victory over Eastside.

Antelope Valley had a senior duo take command as Niya Price posted 27 points and Ariana Soil scored 23 points. The matchup was Soil's 30th in a row with at least ten points.

Antelope Valley's win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.3 points per game. As for Palmdale, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-10.

Palmdale was dealt a bruising 65-15 loss at the hands of Antelope Valley when the teams last played back in December of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Soil, who earned 33 points. Now that Palmdale knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time?
