Baseball Game Preview: Lincoln County Lions vs. Bigfork Vikings and Valkyries

Lincoln County is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Bigfork is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Lions will host the Vikings and Valkyries at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Bigfork took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Lincoln County, who comes in off a win.

Lincoln County not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since April 13th (when they won 17-2). They blew past Corvallis 13-2.

Meanwhile, Bigfork faced Glacier in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Vikings and Valkyries fell just short of the Wolfpack by a score of 4-3.

Bigfork saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Wyatt Hickey, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. Another was Cavin Wiest, who earned one run and two stolen bases.

Lincoln County now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Bigfork, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-5.

Lincoln County came out on top in a nail-biter against Bigfork when the teams last played back in April, sneaking past 2-1. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Vikings and Valkyries have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
