Baseball Recap: Southwestern Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Southwestern can now relate to. They came up short against the Medina Mustangs on Thursday, falling 8-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Trojans haven't been shut out since back in April.

With the defeat, Southwestern broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-2. As for Medina, they pushed their record up to 18-2 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home.

Southwestern does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Medina, they will square off against Kennedy at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Mustangs 0.8, the Bears 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
