Softball Recap: Bayard Comes Up Short

Bayard fell victim to Gothenburg and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Swedes, falling 12-0. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Swedes apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Bayard saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaidence Lee, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Lee is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last seven games she's played.

Bayard's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Gothenburg, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Swedes beat Bayard by a score of 21-12 later that day.
