Basketball Game Preview: Westmont Warriors vs. Leigh Longhorns

The Westmont Warriors will face off against the Leigh Longhorns at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Last Tuesday, Westmont came up short against Silver Creek and fell 37-30.

Meanwhile, Leigh had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 63-36 victory over the Bulldogs. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 31-10.

Leigh's win came from a few key players Westmont will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Catalina Williams, who posted 17 points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Abigail White, who scored ten points and eight rebounds.

Leigh was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2023.

Westmont's loss dropped their record down to 16-7. As for Leigh, the win got them back to even at 11-11.
