Baseball Recap: Pepperell Comes Up Short

Pepperell lost to Calhoun back in February of 2019 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Dragons fell just short of the Yellow Jackets by a score of 2-1.

Chance Hopper was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Madoc Garcia also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Pepperell's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Calhoun, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pepperell will host Cass at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Calhoun, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Ringgold at 5:30 p.m.
