In what's become a running theme this season, the Mountain View Academy Mustangs gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat East Palo Alto Academy 50-3 on the road. That 47 points margin sets a new team best for Mountain View Academy this season.
Mountain View Academy can attribute much of their success to Taylor Mackey, who scored 24 points along with seven steals. That's the first time this season that Mackey scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Leilani Wright, who scored 11 points.
The victory for Mountain View Academy keeps them at an undefeated 6-0. As for East Palo Alto Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Mountain View Academy will look to defend their home court on Thursday against DCP Alum Rock at 4:30 p.m. DCP Alum Rock's defense has only allowed 21.6 points per game this season, so Mountain View Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for East Palo Alto Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against KIPP San Jose Collegiate at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
