Softball Recap: Marietta Takes a Loss

Marietta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 17-1 to the Etowah Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-0 on Tuesday.

Marietta's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Etowah, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-8.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Marietta is set to challenge their familiar foe North Cobb at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Etowah will face off against rival North Paulding at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
