Softball Recap: McIntosh Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Northgate, McIntosh was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They walked away with a 9-4 victory over the Whitewater Wildcats. This was a revenge game for the Chiefs: when they faced off against the Wildcats back in September, they had to take a 9-3 loss.

Reese Adams made a splash no matter where she played. She pitched seven innings while giving up four earned runs off eight hits. Adams was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs. That's the most hits she has posted since back in September of 2024.

In other batting news, Abby Sheets was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI and one triple. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Izzy Ambrose, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

McIntosh's win bumped their record up to 15-13. As for Whitewater, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 14-12.

As of now, neither McIntosh nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
