Softball Recap: Gridley Takes a Loss

Gridley was the 12-10 winner over Live Oak when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Lions by a score of 6-5 on Tuesday. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Whitney Clark was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Charlee Laviolette was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Gridley's loss dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Live Oak, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-9 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Gridley is set to take on their familiar foe Orland at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Live Oak will square off against rival Corning at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
