Baseball Recap: Highland Takes a Loss

Highland suffered their closest loss since April 23, 2025 on Monday. They fell just short of the Simi Valley Pioneers by a score of 6-4.

Hudson Harding was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he gave up only zero walks, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2025. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, Landon Manzano made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two doubles and one run.

Highland's defeat dropped their record down to 1-2. As for Simi Valley, their win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Highland didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 8-3 victory against Saugus on the 25th. As for Simi Valley, they have also already played their next contest, a 7-2 loss against San Marcos on the 25th.
