Softball Game Preview: Roswell Hornets vs. Dunwoody Wildcats

For the second straight game, Roswell will face off against Dunwoody. The Hornets will venture away from home to challenge the Wildcats at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Roswell's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so Dunwoody's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Roswell heads in on the heels of a playoff matchup on Monday. They fell 10-7 to Dunwoody.

For Dunwoody's part, Anslie Worley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and five unearned) runs on nine hits. Worley has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Vivian Curry, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three doubles, three RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in October of 2024. Another player making a difference was Allie Sleep, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and one double.

Dunwoody hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in 20 consecutive contests.

With the win, Dunwoody broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 19-7. As for Roswell, their loss dropped their record down to 17-7.
