Softball Game Preview: Prince Avenue Christian Wolverines vs. East Jackson Eagles

The Prince Avenue Christian Wolverines will take on the East Jackson Eagles at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Prince Avenue Christian has five straight wins, East Jackson has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Prince Avenue Christian's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They put the hurt on Providence Christian Academy with a sharp 10-0 victory. The Wolverines might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 games by eight runs or more this season.

Oconee County hit East Jackson with a five-run first inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Eagles lost 10-2 to the Warriors.

East Jackson saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Reese Poelker, who went 1-for-2 with one run. That run was Poelker's first of the season.

East Jackson's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Prince Avenue Christian, their win bumped their record up to 22-3.
