Softball Recap: Staley Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Staley's offense. They came up short against the Papillion-LaVista Monarchs on Thursday, falling 8-0. The Falcons' loss continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row.

Staley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Papillion-LaVista, their record is now 17-6.

Looking ahead, Staley will square off against Lincoln Southwest at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. The Silver Hawks will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Falcons surely won't give up without a fight. As for Papillion-LaVista, they will face off against Lincoln Northeast at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. The Monarchs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rockets have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season.
