Baseball Recap: Westminster Takes a Loss

Westminster was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 7-2 to the Blessed Trinity Titans. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Titans this season, with their most recent defeat being a 10-0 loss last Thursday.

Westminster's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Blessed Trinity, the victory (which was their 19th in a row) raised their record to 22-2.

Coming up, Westminster will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Holy Innocents Episcopal at 5:30 p.m. The Wildcats will need to watch out since the Golden Bears have now posted at least ten runs in their last four matches. As for Blessed Trinity, they will challenge Jesuit at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Titans 3.2, the Tigers 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
