Softball Recap: Ware County Comes Up Short

Ware County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 10-1 to the Appling County Pirates. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-0 back in August.

Ware County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Appling County, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Ware County will head out to face off against Wayne County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Yellow Jackets will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last. As for Appling County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Wheeler County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Pirates 1.3, the Bulldogs 2.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
