Basketball Recap: Mira Costa Takes a Loss

Mira Costa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 61-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rolling Hills Prep Huskies. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Mustangs came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 52nd, while the Huskies are ranked 406th).

Mira Costa's loss dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Rolling Hills Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 6-7.

Mira Costa will host Redondo Union at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Rolling Hills Prep, they will square off against New Roads at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
