If Fredonia/Elk Valley wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Eureka, they should've done a better job of containing Peyton Hare. The Tornadoes blew past Fredonia/Elk Valley 44-14 on Friday with plenty of help from Hare, who rushed for 200 yards and four scores on only 15 carries, and also threw for 119 yards and one TD on only six passes. His longest rush was for an impressive 58 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
Fredonia/Elk Valley lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Kayson Farr, who rushed for 176 yards and one touchdown. Fredonia/Elk Valley also got a significant boost from Brayden O'Leary, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 111 yards.
Eureka has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 14 points this season. As for Fredonia/Elk Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
