Soccer Game Preview: Franklin vs. Bravo

The Franklin Panthers will venture away from home to take on the Bravo Knights at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Franklin will be strutting in after a victory while Bravo will be coming in after a defeat.

It was a proper cat-fight when Franklin faced off against Lincoln on Friday. Franklin's defense stepped up to hand Lincoln a 2-0 shutout.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Bravo's offense. They lost 5-0 to Eagle Rock on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 942nd, while the Eagles are ranked 384th).

Franklin is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5-2 record this season. As for Bravo, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.

Franklin was able to grind out a solid win over Bravo in their previous matchup last Wednesday, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Franklin since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
