Basketball Recap: Windsor Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Windsor challenged Rancho Cotate on Tuesday. The Windsor Jaguars took a 54-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rancho Cotate Cougars. The Jaguars haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Rancho Cotate's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Daniela Campos, who made all 6 shots she took to post 13 points along with five boards and four steals. Campos is becoming a predictor of Rancho Cotate's success: when she posts at least three steals the team is undefeated (and 7-10 when she doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Delilah Morie, who made all 5 shots she took for 10 points in addition to five assists and three steals.

Windsor's defeat dropped their record down to 9-16. As for Rancho Cotate, their record now sits at 14-10.

Windsor didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 46-43 loss against Montgomery on the 7th. As for Rancho Cotate, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 60-40 defeat against Maria Carrillo on the 7th.
