Goose Creek and Berkeley are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2021, but likely not for long. The Gators will take on the Stags at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Goose Creek and ten for Berkeley.

Goose Creek managed to keep up with Cane Bay until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Gators lost 3-0 to the Cobras. While losing is never fun, Goose Creek can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 88th, while Cane Bay are ranked 33rd).

Meanwhile, Berkeley fell victim to Lucy Beckham and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Bengals, falling 8-0. That's two games in a row now that Berkeley have lost by exactly eight goals.

Goose Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Berkeley, their loss dropped their record down to 2-12.

Goose Creek got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in March against Berkeley by a conclusive 4-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Gators since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
