Soccer Recap: Diego Rivera Comes Up Short

Diego Rivera lost against Jefferson back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Diego Rivera Huskies fell 2-0 to the Jefferson Democrats. While losing is never fun, the Huskies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 844th, while the Democrats are ranked 367th).

This is the second loss in a row for Diego Rivera and nudges their season record down to 3-5-1. As for Jefferson, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0-2.

Diego Rivera wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against West Adams on the 22nd. As for Jefferson, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 4-0 win against Manual Arts on the 24th.
