The Lowndes Vikings will head out to challenge the Valdosta Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lowndes is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.5 goals per game this season.

Lowndes made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Colquitt County, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Lowndes' defense stepped up to hand Colquitt County a 3-0 shutout on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for Lowndes as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Valdosta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Valwood. The contest was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Valdosta couldn't quite close it out.

Valdosta's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Lowndes, their win bumped their record up to 7-5.

Lowndes took their victory against Valdosta in their previous matchup back in February by a conclusive 7-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lowndes since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
