Basketball Recap: San Marin Falls Short of Alameda in the Playoffs

San Marin and Alameda squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but San Marin had to settle for second. They were beaten by the Alameda Hornets 67-32. The Mustangs have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

Defeat or not, San Marin got some senior leadership from Quincy Dean and Angela Stickle. Dean dropped a double-double with 12 points and 13 boards, while Stickle posted seven points and five rebounds. Dean is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 12 games she's played. Lily Devol also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

San Marin's loss dropped their record down to 21-8. As for Alameda, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-10.

San Marin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Alameda has already played their next game (against Bishop O'Dowd), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
