Mary Persons came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Troup County Tigers. Considering the Bulldogs have won seven games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Mary Persons' win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Troup County, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12.

Looking ahead, Mary Persons will take on Academy for Classical Education at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Troup County, they will square off against Fayette County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
