Odessa faced Sherwood in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Bulldogs' pitchers stepped up to hand the Marksmen a 16-0 shutout. The Bulldogs' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Odessa's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-4. As for Sherwood, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Coming up, Odessa will face off against Jackson at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Sherwood, they will challenge Montrose at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
