Baseball Recap: Paulding County Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Paulding County's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They put the hurt on the Campbell Spartans with a sharp 15-4 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Patriots as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Paulding County got a great performance from Hunter Redden as he struck out nine batters over 4.2 innings while giving up four earned runs off six hits. That's the most strikeouts Redden has posted since March 2nd.

On the hitting side, Tucker White was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, three doubles, and two RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Wyatt Lehman, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.

Paulding County hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Paulding County's record is now 9-11. As for Campbell, their loss dropped their record down to 7-12.

Paulding County will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Spartans: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:55 p.m. on Monday.
