Basketball Game Preview: Highland Scots vs. West Vikings

The Highland Scots are taking a road trip to take on the West Vikings at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Last Thursday, Highland took a blow against Bakersfield Christian, falling 92-24. The Scots haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

Meanwhile, West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 67-18 loss at the hands of Tehachapi. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1048th, while the Warriors are ranked 128th).

Highland's loss dropped their record down to 8-14. As for West, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-13.

Highland ended up a good deal behind West in their previous meeting back in November of 2021, losing 51-36. Can Highland avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
