Basketball Recap: Bethel Christian Kings vs. Sherman Indian Braves
The Bethel Christian Kings's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight defeat. They fell 50-40 to Sherman Indian. While losing is never fun, Bethel Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1120th, while the Braves are ranked 489th).
Bethel Christian lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Faith Lantry, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and three steals. Lantry has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kalia Taylor, who scored six points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Bethel Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Sherman Indian, they pushed their record up to 11-4 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Bethel Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Sherman Indian also has no future games currently scheduled.
