Preview: San Gabriel Academy Eagles vs. Lucerne Valley Mustangs
Having just played yesterday, the San Gabriel Academy Eagles will jump right back in to play the Lucerne Valley Mustangs at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday. San Gabriel Academy is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
On Wednesday, San Gabriel Academy slipped by Grand Terrace 40-39. The victory was just what San Gabriel Academy needed coming off of a 59-21 defeat in their prior match.
Meanwhile, Lucerne Valley unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Wednesday. They were beaten by Grand Terrace 53-15. While losing is never fun, Lucerne Valley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 835th, while Grand Terrace is ranked 412th).
San Gabriel Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 3-3 record this season. As for Lucerne Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-5.
