Baseball Recap: Lakeside Takes a Loss

Lakeside suffered their biggest defeat since March 17th on Thursday. They lost 16-1 to the Woodward Academy War Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the War Eagles this season, with their most recent loss being a 6-5 defeat last Wednesday.

Lakeside saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jihad Guy, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

This is the second loss in a row for Lakeside and nudges their season record down to 14-8. As for Woodward Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-4.

Looking ahead, Lakeside will head out to square off against Cambridge at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Woodward Academy, they will face off against Lovett at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
